And remember, no matter where you go, there you are. ~Confucius

I fell upon this quote by Confucius this morning and at first I didn’t think much of it. However as the day passed, my mind became obsessed as I pondered the complexity of such a simple concept. It suddenly dawned on me that this was the perfect way to begin Sunshine Yoga and Pancakes the blog.

What is more joyful than the present moment? What is more exhilarating, (or for some more terrifying) than letting go of where you have been or who you think you should be and acknowledge what simply is? In looking at Confucius, I am reminded that no matter how we find ourselves in life, in love, in a profession, we are constantly comparing ourselves to an invisible standard of where we think we should be. But I believe there is something beautiful in the here and now; the reality of what is. For all we have is the present moment. If you practice yoga, you have probably heard this concept many times, but implementing it off the mat is a different story. So “no matter where you go…,” I say treasure it and simply en‘joy’ the ride.
